and is great as a dipping oil as well.Īriston Select is exceptionally low in acidity (0.2- 0.4%), resulting in a high quality premium olive oil. Smooth, well rounded olive-fruit taste with buttery finish and no acidic aftertaste, all in the exceptional design of the Cleopatra bottle. Ariston pairs well with salads, citrus flavours, fish, chicken, pork, drizzle over red meats, fresh and roasted vegetables, feta cheese, mozzarella cheese, any Greek dish, etc. Oh, IMO three point mount is better than a four point (for feet) as they always define a plane and are easy to level up whereas the four can have one foot high/low and therefore allow the turntable to rock.Ariston Select a Greek extra virgin olive oil, authentic product of the Messinia region in Greece is brought to us by the Doukas Family and local cooperatives (Ariston Specialties).

If you were trying to run it without the main platter then I think this may be your issue, on my AR EB101 the subplatter would sit high and the belt fall off without the main platter fitted. So, first thing to do is to level up the main turntable on a flat surface, then using the screws on the pressed metal suspension (where the springs are) to level up the platter (with sub and main platter fitted), this should be just above the main deck (1-2mm), fit the belt and run to make sure it is running true. So, the belt will fall off if you do not have the main platter on as this weighs down the suspension and drops it down to line up better with the motor pulley.

The motor is bolted to the main desk which means that there is relative motion between the platter and the motor. It has the arm and the bearing/subplatter/platter mounted on a pressed metal structure that is on a three point suspension to reduced vibration effects. Looks like this table is similar to my old AR EB101. The ariston instructions state the motor spindle height can be adjusted, but after much messing around even when I think it's fully adjusted there is a distinct angle between the bottom of the drive platter and the motor spindle, so the belt isn't sitting properly on the spindle and just pops off.ĭo any of you guys know about setting up turntables like this? Would appreciate help from anyone who has experience with this kit. The belt arrived and I tried to fit it around the motor spindle and drive platter, in no way will the belt stay on for more than a few seconds.

I couldn't get the belt to stay on so I thought well just get another belt, they're about £15. The turntable arrived and I assembled it, the seller said I'd have to boil the belt to tighten it so it would fit. So I ended up buying an Ariston RD80 thinking it would be better made, allow for more adjustment and basically sound better. It all started with my dismay at the build quality of some of the newer turntables from the likes of Pro-Ject and Rega, it's literally just a piece of MDF with a tonearm attached and some rubber feet (the rega rp1 doesn't even have the luxury of four feet, they expect you to get along with three!). Hi, I'm looking for some advice on a used turntable I've bought.
